Annoying...

i have basically finished the music video but because of the apple macs it keeps going wrong because they are doing things that we dont want them to. firstly we edited most of it and tried to save it and there wasnt enough memory to save it even though we had been saving it as we went along, so when we opened it again and it was the version that we opened it to three hours before hand. we came back the next day to edit it then we realised that it was the version that we done a week before that one so we just started all over again. we have been staying behind after school nearly every night till about 6, we got kicked out twice. it was all finished and we was watching it and then we realised that it was all wrong just because we had changed the name at the start from Georgie Pepper Parker and it messed it all up, it copied all of the shots that it merged together and messed up the order of it all. we are coming in tomorrow morning to edit it and finally finish it so it can be screened in my lesson. i hope it all goes to plan. Progress on Music Video...

i have done the filming for the main body of the music video in the recording studio and thought about what i need to do for the backstory to slot into the footage i have already got.

what i need to do now is know what my artists name is going to be Georgie? and then i need to do a rough storyboard of what i want to edit like and then write in my evaluation why i didnt use the same shots becuase they may not have worked.

i have filmed about 30 seconds of my music video but i have come to a stand still because i havent filmed the backstory yet but i am going to film it tomorrow hopefully if i can get a boy to be in it and then edit that into it and then do the rest.

i had a bit of trouble editing the video before now because the formatt didnt get recognised by the apple mac and we had to toast it which took long and then there was not enough memory for the footage to be edited then we had to transfer it to another mac. so it hasnt really gone well for me but i am nearly there.

Pitch For Music Video Feedback

My original ideas for my music videos were:
  • Taylor Swift's - You Belong With Me

  • A cover of her song, being sung in a recording studio as their fisrt song

  • Dancing all around having fun

  • Having a love interest and a back story

The feedback that i got from my teacher and class was:

  • That i needed a name for my new up and coming artist

  • Back story of how my artist got the opportunity to be in the music industry

  • Love story and love interest

  • To bring the artists personality comes forward in the music video

  • To promote my new artist by using: Twitter, YouTube and Facebook

  • My target audience

  • What channel it will be premiered on eg. MTV, Kiss, Viva etc.

Things To Do: Music Video

Timeline:

  1. Decide the song for the artist

  2. Make up the band name

  3. Decide the shots and make a storyboard

  4. Find filming location

  5. Find cast:- Singer, band etc.

  6. Think about costumes and image for music artist

Plan:

--> Singer and band practising their song: Decode or Brick By Boring Brick (Paramore) or You Belong With Me (Taylor Swift)

--> In a recording studio with microphone and band

-->Different shots of singer and band at different bits of the video
